Person in charge

J3B Web is the business of Bobby Bougie, in Montérégie, Quebec. Bobby Bougie is the person in charge of protecting personal information. That role covers applying this policy and handling every request about it.

Bobby Bougie is the only person with access to the requests received and to the site’s administration.

Information collected

The site collects only what it needs to answer your request.

The project request form

• The type of project and your current situation.
• Your name and email address.
• Your company’s name and a description of your project, if you give them.
• The language you want for the call.

Technical data

• As with any website, the server records each visit in its logs (IP address, page requested, date and browser). These logs are used for the site’s security and to keep it running.
• To block abusive sending, the form counts the requests sent from each IP address. The address is kept in a hashed form for one minute, then erased.

The site’s login area is reserved for J3B Web. Visitors cannot create an account there.

The site uses no analytics tool, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no technology that locates you or builds a profile of you. No decision about you is made by automated processing.

How the information is used

Your information is used to:

• answer your request, prepare the call and, if the project goes ahead, write the quote and the contract;
• keep the site secure and block abuse.

It is used for nothing else. J3B Web does not sell it, rent it or use it to send you advertising or a newsletter.

Consent

By sending the form, you consent to the use of your information for the purposes described above. You can withdraw this consent at any time by writing to info@j3bweb.com. Your request is then deleted.

The site is meant for businesses and organizations. It is not aimed at anyone under 14.

Retention and security

• The site and its database are hosted in Quebec, Canada.
• In the database, the name, email address, company and description of each request are encrypted (AES-256).
• Every page goes through an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Each request is also emailed to J3B Web’s mailbox, from which Bobby Bougie replies to you.

How long information is kept

• Project requests. Deleted automatically 24 months after they arrive. The copy received by email is deleted within the same period.
• Contracts. If a request leads to a contract, the information the contract needs is kept for its duration, then for the periods the law requires, for example for accounting records.
• Server logs. Kept by the host for a limited time.

Service providers and transfers outside Quebec

J3B Web relies on a few service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its task.

• The site’s host, in Quebec, keeps the site, its database and the server logs.
• The email delivery provider carries the copy of your request to J3B Web’s mailbox. Its servers may be outside Quebec.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces of the public pages. Your browser then sends Google, outside Quebec, its IP address and technical information. According to Google, this service sets no cookies.

Your information may also be disclosed when the law requires it. It is passed on to no one else.

Cookies

The site sets only the cookies it needs to work and to remember your preferences. None is used to track you or for advertising.

You can clear these cookies in your browser’s settings. Without the session cookie, the form cannot be sent.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

• find out what information J3B Web holds about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
• withdraw your consent and have your information deleted;
• receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Write to info@j3bweb.com. J3B Web may ask you to confirm your identity, then replies within 30 days, at no cost.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Privacy incidents

If an incident affects your information, J3B Web acts without delay to limit its effects. If the incident presents a risk of serious injury, J3B Web notifies the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned. Each incident is recorded in a register.
